About Us

We are a non-profit organization headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, with members around the world who share a deep passion for uncovering and preserving the historical and cultural heritage of Sri Lanka. We strive to support scientific endeavours to discover new and redefine existing historical and archaeological evidence.

We envision a world where the rich tapestry of Sri Lankan history and heritage is discovered, documented, and preserved, fostering awareness and collaboration that transcends borders, connecting the past to the present for generations to come. We aspire to be a catalyst for this transformation, celebrating cultural heritage, and inspiring the future through shared knowledge and enlightenment

Our vision is to be a leading global catalyst in the discovery, preservation, conservation, and sharing of rich archaeological, historical, anthropological, and cultural heritage of Sri Lanka recognizing its significance in ancient human migration routes and foster a well-informed, engaged, and collaborative community that cherishes and safeguards the human cultural legacies for future generations

Our Mission

Our mission is to advance the understanding and preservation of archaeological, historical, anthropological, and cultural heritage of Sri Lanka recognizing its significance in ancient human migration routes, through rigorous research, evidence-based awareness campaigns, ethical preservation initiatives, and collaborative partnerships with scholars and institutions.

Our Objectives

1. Research and Discovery

To conduct or provide financial and other support to research that are aimed at generating new knowledge and preserving existing knowledge in the fields of archaeology, history, anthropology, culture, or a related field in Sri Lanka recognizing its significance in ancient human migration routes to Australia.

2. Awareness

To create or provide financial and other support to create evidence-based awareness in archaeology, history, anthropology, culture, or related fields among the general public, policymakers, scholars, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance the understanding and appreciation of and engagement with Sri Lanka’s rich heritage recognizing its significance in ancient human migration routes to Australia.

3. Preservation

To conduct or provide financial and other support to activities, projects, and programs aimed at preserving using most appropriate preservation methodologies archaeologically, historically, or culturally significant tangible or intangible knowledge or artefacts in Sri Lanka recognizing its significance in ancient human migration routes to Australia.

4. Collaboration

To collaborate with scholars/institutions in the world relevant to archaeology, history, anthropology, culture or related fields and facilitate collaboration between such scholars/ institutions to achieve the other objectives of the Association.
