Objectives of the Association

The Association has four objectives

1 Research and Discovery

To conduct or provide financial and other support to research that are aimed at generating new knowledge and preserving existing knowledge in the fields of archaeology, history, anthropology, culture, or a related field in Sri Lanka recognizing its significance in ancient human migration routes to Australia.

2 Awareness

To create or provide financial and other support to create evidence-based awareness in archaeology, history, anthropology, culture, or related fields among the general public, policymakers, scholars, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance the understanding and appreciation of and engagement with Sri Lanka's rich heritage recognizing its significance in ancient human migration routes to Australia.

3 Preservation

To conduct or provide financial and other support to activities, projects, and programs aimed at preserving using most appropriate preservation methodologies archaeologically, historically, or culturally significant tangible or intangible knowledge or artefacts in Sri Lanka recognizing its significance in ancient human migration routes to Australia.

4 Collaboration

To collaborate with scholars/institutions in the world relevant to archaeology, history, anthropology, culture or related fields and facilitate collaboration between such scholars/ institutions to achieve the other objectives of the Association.
